For our own safety and reduce losses, we must do a safety check before using the lifting platform. The following aspects are the inspections that the lifting platform must do before use.


On-site inspection

1.First check whether there is water accumulation and signs of sinking in the foundation part. If it is a lifting platform installed on a floor, it is necessary to check the top brace system and calculation scheme of the basement, check whether the grounding system meets the requirements, whether the flusher is complete and effective, whether the bottom cage is tightly enclosed and damaged, and the bottom entrance and exit of the elevator should have a protective shed.

2.Inspect the structure of the frame, and check the tightening of the basic and standard section connection bolts. The bolts are provided with double nuts or spring pads according to regulations. The welds in each part are intact and free of cracks. Attached members should be set in accordance with the materials and specifications required by the manual and should not be arbitrarily changed. The spacing of the attachment rod should be attached to the requirements of the instructions, generally 6m. The connection method and fastening method of the attached rod shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the manual and shall not be changed arbitrarily. During the safety inspection, it was found that the use of steel bars instead of bolts or welding of a steel head at each end of the steel bar instead of a nut. This practice is very dangerous.

3.Mechanical transmission system: The mechanical transmission system of the lifting platform can be divided into two parts: closed type and open type. Its variable speed section and the centrifugal braking part of the cone drum limiter are closed. The rest is open. The closed part is not easy to inspect, and the scene can only see whether the gearbox is leaking oil and whether the detection date marked on the taper drum speed limiter is overdue. Its detection cycle is generally two years. The cone drum speed limiter must be regularly monitored and sealed by the safety monitoring center stipulated by the state, and the unit of use is not allowed to adjust at will. The inspection of the opening section is different from the inspection. Because the safety audit involves a wide range of points and a limited time, the safety inspection of the lift is more extensive. In general, there is no instrument, and it is all empirical observation. To check the clearance of each transmission part can not be too large, generally controlled at about 0.2 ~ 0.5mm. When the gear is meshed with the rack, the gap between the bottom of the tooth is about 2 mm. Excessive meshing clearance or severe rack wear are dangerous. The operation and braking force of the lifting platform are transmitted through the rack and pinion. Insufficient meshing depth, serious wear or excessive axial misalignment will reduce the meshing area and cause the strength of the gear rack to decrease, and a tooth breakage accident will occur. Found during an actual security check. The gear rack of the elevator only hangs on the tip of the tooth, and the mesh surface cannot even reach 1/3, which is very dangerous. The adjustment of the meshing clearance is mainly based on the correct positioning of the rack guide wheel and the guide roller. During the inspection process, it should be noted that the gap between the guide wheel and the rack should not be too large, and the gap between the roller and the guide rail in general 0.2~ 0.5mm should also be controlled at 0.2~ 0.5mm. The elevator should run smoothly, without noise and without obvious vibration.

4.Electrical system:

1) A switch box and a leakage protector should be provided.

2) The wires and cables should be well insulated, without damage or leakage. The threaded metal hose is rust-free, breakaged and reliably zeroed.

5. Wire rope and pulley system:

1) The specifications of the wire rope should be configured in accordance with the specifications required by the manual. There is no phenomenon of broken strands and shrinkage, and the number of broken wires shall not exceed the scrapping standard.

2) The pulley is flexible, the operation is good, and the support is stable.

3) The wire rope is fixed, and each end should be no less than four rope clips.
